Jessica Chastain

JessicaJessica Michelle Chastain (born March 24, 1977) is an American actor and producer. Her films that deal with feminist issues are her primary focus. She has been awarded many awards, including an Academy Award as well as an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award. Time magazine listed her as one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2012. Chastain was an avid actor from an early age. She made her professional performance debut on stage as Shakespeare's Juliet in 1998. She was a frequent guest star on various television shows, and played several roles in stage productions. Following her film debut at the age of 31 with the drama Jolene (2008), Chastain made her mark in the year 2011 with six films including the dramas Take Shelter (2011) and The Tree of Life (2011). As a character in the films, she played an aspiring socialite and a CIA analyst, she was awarded Academy Award nominations in The Help (2011) and Zero Dark Thirty (2012). Greater commercial success came with the science fiction films Interstellar (2014) and The Martian (2015), and the horror movie It Chapter Two (2019). Chastain received further acclaim for her performance as strong-willed females in the dramas A Most Violent Year (2014), Miss Sloane (2016), and Molly's Game (2017), and the television miniseries Scenes from a Marriage (2021). In the role of Tammy Faye Bakker, she received the Academy Award for Best Actress and Tammy Wynette in The Eyes of Tammy Faye (21) as well as Tammy Wynette in The Eyes Of Tammy Faye (. Chastain has founded Freckle Films to promote diversity in film production. She is also an investor in Angel City FC. She has a strong voice on mental health issues as also gender and racial equality.
