Paula Patton is an actress and producer well-known for her roles as a lead actress in the action film Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and the drama film Precious. Growing up in Los Angeles with a middle-class mother, she had lots of desires. The mother of her children was a film buff and instilled a love of films into the young girl. Paula took part in the co-curricular programs at her school, and was a drama enthusiast. She loved being in stage shows together with her fellow students. After performing in several shows at her high school, Hamilton Magnet Arts High School She decided to pursue acting her occupation. She enrolled at The University of Southern California in an intensive summer course and enjoyed her stint. She won a three-month assignment producing documentaries on behalf of PBS. The first assignment was to be production assistant for television documentaries following her successful completion of the task. Then, she switched to the production of documentaries. Her work was rewarding, but she still wanted to pursue a career as an actor. Her first acting gig came through a role as a support in the romantic comedy of Will Smith Hitch. Since then, she has been in a variety of popular films and TV shows.
